Long Island Opera Open Auditions 2010 SeasonLong Island Opera announces open auditions for all roles for Verdi's La Traviata sung in Italian in concert version and for future productions TBA. The production will take place in June 2010 at the Southampton Cultural Center conducted by Artistic Director, John Mario Di Costanzo..Auditions will take place on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on the following dates: December 6-7, 13-14, and 20-21. Pianist Audrey Saint-Gil To apply for an audition time, please see the information below. You may audition for a role in La Traviata or be heard for a future production. LIO mounts concert productions with chamber orchestra after a two-week rehearsal period. Long Island Opera has plans to provide compensation for all roles. Please be aware that there is no compensation provided for housing, travel or any other expenses. All roles are open and it is our policy to double cast in all roles. Long Island Opera will hear both managed and unmanaged singers. The majority of rehearsals will take place in Manhattan. Please note that all applications made to the Long Island Opera P.O. Box number will be not reviewed. No phone calls. There is a $30 non-refundable audition fee, payable at the door.
